Winery ORCIA DOC
A magical rare small wine farm close to Sinalunga (Siena) producing the now famous Orcia Doc.
The property is about 10 hectares, of which 4 hectares of semi-intensive vineyard registered as Doc Orcia, with 6,250 vine stocks per hectare equivalent to a total of 25,000 plants.
In the land there are about 200 olive trees in full production (about 3 tons of oil product), plus 1.5 hectares of forest and about half a hectare of truffle micorizzata for white prized.
Total renovation from 2001 to 2005 with high level of finish in Tuscany style. 1700’s 600 sqm House with underfloor heating with pump geothermal heat, and LPG condensing boiler for hot water and possible further heating.
Very suggestive saloons dominated by style fireplaces, 3/4 rooms with their own bathroom.
The house is surrounded by an elegant green with underground irrigation system. The water independence is guaranteed by an artesian well that fishing from a vein at 80 meters, from some underground collecting tanks and a large reservoir.
New 450 sqm Cellar, 150 sqm room for storage of agricultural equipment; specialized vineyards: 2 hectares of Sangiovese (planted in 2002); 1 hectare of Merlot (planted 2002); 0.5 hectares of Petit Verdot (planted in) 2002, 0.5 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon.(Planted in 2002). The vineyards have an excellent east-west and are naturally protected from the north wind. They are located at an altitude of about 400 m. The current annual output bottles is around 20,000 bottles.
